About Me

About Me...where to start? The ingredients that make me, me!

There are ingredients I love and then there are ones that are just needed like baking soda... who really loves it? But we love what it does to our cookies and bread!

The ingredients I love are; I am married to my best friend Travis (hubs) We love to shop, work out, eat, laugh, and pray together! He is my partner in life and my biggest encourager in good times and those not so good times! Our families both live in the area, we love spending time with them! If we are not hanging out with our family then you will probably find us downtown where we live in an all white condo (no kiddos yet) We love to walk to local restaurants or work out in the downtown gym conveniently located on the first floor of our building!

I am a Mental Health Counselor, I really do LOVE my job! I love my time with people helping them work through the not so fun ingredients of their life (baking soda, YUCK).

I really enjoy writing about life and the lessons I learn everyday. Partially because its a great release and a great way to document Gods teachings to me. But I also feel like its a great way to share with others...

I love baking and I love Food! (Balance) I really enjoy cooking new things and making not so healthy meals really healthy! I love reading cook books, food blogs, watching foodtv (so does hubs)! Foodtv is programmed into our remote

Not only foodtv... HGTV! I have a degree in interior design. I don't really use it anymore except when designing my own home or helping out close friends or family, but I love love love making things look good. I like being a place that looks pleasing to the eye.

Then there are some of the not so fun things...like struggling to keep balance in my life in the area of food and exercise. It is a daily struggle that I feel I am conquering with Gods help! Only with Gods help! I do struggle with seeing myself worthy and not feeling like a failure. But I know truth that God has spoken and I know that He made me perfectly how I am. So even with the not so fun stuff it is apart of me and something that I get to work with daily, it does not define me!

I have learned many ingredients over the years of my life. I look back and see how much God has taught me and how much he continues to teach me. I feel we all learn from each other and if I can encourage other women in an area of life I am willing! As a Counselor I get to listen to all the ingredients of life. The ingredients women come across each day. It is my prayer you can relate to my ingredients and be encouraged, you are not alone.

I continually am learning how to live a balanced life, with the help of my faith, family, and friends. It is a daily battle to find balance. But I believe my life should be balanced in order to be my best.
