Prayer!

The Power of Prayer is fascinating to me! As a believer and a counselor who works for a church... I receive emails asking for prayer on a daily basis! My typical routine to stop and pray right then and release it into Gods hands.

The release of our request often can be the hardest part. We pray about topics that are important to us and often times something that we are worried about. (Worry is big enough for its own blog post). Another hard part for prayer is finding time to pray... my sisters, mom and I get together to pray for each other often... I just returned from our prayer time and always blessed by it.

God continues to answer my prayers and fascinate me... I have had this box of crackers in my car for about a months and just keep forgetting to give them to my mother-in-law (she loves them and they don't sell them where she lives) I share her love for them! I picked up the box on my way to prayer and to my surprise and HUGE blessing they are CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE!!!!!

YAY!!!

Gluten Free...

Went to the grocery store on a hunt for all things I can eat... which meant hunting a little more and reading labels a little more than I typically do. I used to read them all the time and then got into habit of buying the same things, so didn't really need to any more. That all changed yesterday... I cant tell you how many items in the grocery store say "This Item Contains: Wheat, Soy, Gluten, Peanuts" Oh my!

What to do... I went to the Gluten Free section of the store. Let me tell you everything is about double the price! My grocery bill would have nearly tripled easily! I left with fruits and veggies and lots of frustration!

Then when I arrived home lugging in my four bags (condo living is hard on grocery shopping) Everything turned around!!!!! It was like bells and whistles, shots of joy, loads of encouragement! Sitting there on my island was this...

The Lord seriously used my Husband to bless me! Hubs co-workers wife (got it) works for Kellogg's and brought sample cereal to the office! This stuff is not on shelves yet, but seriously its AMAZING!!!! I had a bowl last night for dessert with almond milk and truvia! Heaven in my mouth! Thanks KELLOGGS

Its been awhile...

It has be a while... a long while... like a month, since I last wrote. My mom and sister have dropped subtle hints its time to pick back up with my blog (thanks!)

Its been a challenging month! I write a lot about challenges, I need to be more positive! At the same time I am a wear it on my sleeve kind of gal... I dont mask things easily and I like to talk about everything! I am a therapist by the way! Ha!

with challenges though come an opportunity to change and grow. One of my last blog post was TBT #3 on hormones and that is why I think its been such a challenging month. So I decided I was going to change and grow and nip those hormones in the butt (because mine is growing thanks to them)

So here is my challenge and my plan for the next few weeks. It will be trial and error but I want to see if it helps

Endomeriosis Diet:
No Soy
No wheat
No Gluten
No Animal Fat
No Dairy

"Oh My" as my husband would say...

So here is what I GET To eat
Nuts
Seeds
Fruits and Veggies
Egg whites
Fish
Beans
lentils
Whole Grains (not wheat)

So we will see what happens and pray for the best... after all God is more in control of my body than I am... Praise the Lord!
