Balance

Balance is a hard thing to find. It is always on a continuum of too much or too little, like a teeter-toter, if one side is too heavy the other goes flying. When life gets too heavy in one area the others go flying. Finding Balance while pursuing passions full on is a challenge. All to often we can become obsessed with one area of life. In life I have had to find balance especially when it comes to Food and Fitness! Like many women I have and still can be on the roller coaster of weight or the dreadful thoughts that can linger in our minds for days. All too many time thoughts have been planted in my head that end up being completely false...these thoughts can lead to imbalance, especially in the area of diet and exercise. I am daily reminded that God is in control and he knows the right balance for me. He knows exactly what I need to get by each day.

Tips to living a Balanced Life
1. Turn to the Lord daily! Trust in Him!
~Even when it comes to what to eat or what work out to do today!
~" Those who trust int he Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken, but endures forever." Psalms 25:1

2. Write down Truths about yourself.
~ Each time a lye pops in your head go back to the Truth

3. Know your Goals, Priorities, Passions!
~ Review them often! Make sure time is well spent in all areas

4. Have accountability
~Hubs always tells me when I might be spending too much time reading magazines or obsessing over my weight or what calories are in what

5. Know your Limits!
~ Listen and learn when your body, mind, soul need Rest! Take it!

For me striving to be content but not complacent all while not becoming obsessive!

Well, its a real challenge! That is why I need the tips above!

1. Each day I have to ask the Lord for help! He is my guide and I know I can trust Him. Even when days are difficult or weeks are difficult. I could not do the following tips with out Him. I know I fall into times of struggle and I need to seek Him more than ever! It is not always easy but I know it is always necessary!

2. I have to know that God is in control of my life! I have to know he created me exactly how he wanted me! These are truths! God also wants me to be healthy! He wants me to use the body he gave me and he want to nourish my body with the food He provided us all on this earth!

3. My Goals are to be as healthy as He wants me, to use my body exactly how the Lord wants and to take care of the Temple he has blessed me with. My goal is to be a happy, helpful, encouraging, loving, wife and someday mom (until that day comes preparing my body physically to carry a baby). My goal is love on my family and to love on my clients helping them reach their goals of being healthy.

4. Accountability it KEY! The two biggest benefits I get from accountability is one; truth! time and time again my hubs has to speak truth into my life! two; Are you praying about it? time and time again hubs asks me that question! I need hubs accountability to keep me on track! He points me in the right direction when I feel lost.

5.I counsel people all day long which means, I often need some time to relax. Sometimes I struggle with how short my limit can be. I know if I take time to relax I will be much better off in the long run! I know my limits when it comes to exercise and when it comes to eating or reading blogs/magazines. The best thing is other people know my limits as well and they sends us back up to #4!

Balance is not something that we master or ever have perfect. It is something that always is teeter-totering back and forth... we just don't want one end to go flying! But if it does it can always come back down!
